Helical formations rise along the central axis, intersected by horizontal rays that extend outward in a structured field across the face. The composition moves between compression and expansion, where repetition and spacing create a precise optical rhythm.
Constructed from sterling silver, the piece integrates casting with hand-applied beadwork and crystal setting. Swarovski elements are embedded throughout, building luminosity across the structure. Each element is individually formed, aligned, and hand-finished to maintain balance and continuity within the composition.
Developed over 130 hours, the work reflects sustained collaboration and technical refinement, with materials integrated into a single language. — “Architectonics” Iris Van Herpen x Malakai face jewelry collaboration.
