Each work is constructed through a process of casting, styling, and location, bringing together a spectrum of individuals—muses, artists, and collaborators—into carefully built compositions. Figures are held in states of stillness and presence, where form is defined through light, material, and spatial precision.
Positioned between campaign and fine art, these works extend the couture into image. Existing as both documentation and collectible pieces, they hold an independent presence while remaining central to the identity and evolving expression of House of Malakai.

"A collection of works and collaborations that extend the practice beyond the object. This gallery traces Malakai’s pieces as they move through performance, runway, film, and cultural space—where adornment is activated, documented, and carried into image. Sculptural works crafted from precious and semi-precious materials evolve here through presence and context, shifting between wearable form and cultural artifact.
Drawing from a spectrum of influences—light, sound, physics, and cultural reference—the work unfolds through collaboration with artists, performers, and designers. Traditional craft and contemporary process move in parallel, creating a continuous dialogue between material, body, and environment. Each moment reflects a convergence of disciplines, where form, movement, and image come into alignment.
Held across time and context, these works form an evolving continuum—timeless yet forward in construction—existing between fashion, performance, and collectible art, while maintaining a clear and unified material language."
At the heart of Malakai’s couture collections are sculptural, collectible art pieces crafted from precious and semi-precious materials. These wearable masterpieces are designed to transcend fashion, becoming timeless objects of cultural and artistic significance. Beyond wearable art, Malakai embraces the co-creation of art photography as an integral part of their creative vision, collaborating with photographers and artists to explore storytelling through imagery.
Drawing on a rich tapestry of influences, Malakai weaves together themes of light, sound, physics, metaphysics, and culture to create designs that transcend the ordinary. Their work reflects a seamless integration of ancient traditions and cutting-edge technology, evoking a sense of timelessness and universality.
a background in performance art and electronic music, Malakai pushes creative boundaries, as demonstrated in a 2024 co-directed performance piece with Erykah Badu and Balinese Cejak dancers—a striking fusion of art, music, and movement.

Rooted in solar and lunar alchemy, gold and silver are brought into relation as a unified system—expressed through radiance, shadow, and balance. Identical twin models embody this axis, one rendered in light, the other in darkness, holding a precise symmetry that extends the collection’s core language into presence.
The jewellery is treated as structure within the image—faceted, fluid, and modular—designed to layer and evolve across the body. Held in stillness and clarity, each composition allows material, proportion, and reflection to define the frame, positioning the work between adornment, image, and sculptural form.
